About Us

At Crescendo, we’re transforming customer experience with Augmented AI—a seamless blend of human expertise and AI automation that delivers better, faster, more scalable support. We’re not just changing how support works. We’re reshaping the economics of an entire industry.

The Role

We’re scaling fast—and we’re looking for a Director of Inside Sales to lead our BDR function through the next phase of our growth. Based in San Francisco, this role sits at the frontline of Crescendo’s revenue engine, building and leading a high-performance team responsible for pipeline creation, outbound execution, and opportunity acceleration. This is a critical leadership role with direct impact on Crescendo’s sales velocity and market expansion.

As Director of Inside Sales, you’ll architect and lead Crescendo’s outbound strategy. From hiring and coaching top-tier BDR talent to building high-conversion playbooks, you’ll take ownership of the programs, performance, and people that drive our top-of-funnel motion. You’ll work directly alongside the CRO and collaborate tightly with Revenue Operations, Field Sales, and Marketing to turn outbound excellence into predictable pipeline at scale.

This role is ideal for a builder—someone excited to create repeatable systems from the ground up, coach a team into greatness, and help define what world-class outbound looks like in a category-defining AI company.

What You’ll Do:

Outbound Leadership & Strategy

  • Build and lead a high-performing team of BDRs focused on outbound prospecting into enterprise and commercial accounts
  • Own outbound pipeline goals, account prioritization, and segmentation strategy aligned to Crescendo’s GTM objectives
  • Develop and iterate outbound sequences, talk tracks, objection handling frameworks, and messaging playbooks that convert
  • Serve as the strategic partner to Field Sales, ensuring smooth handoffs and tight alignment on target accounts and ICP
People & Performance Management
  • Hire, coach, and develop BDRs into top-performing pipeline generators—and future AEs
  • Set clear KPIs, dashboards, and performance rhythms that drive accountability, focus, and continuous improvement
  • Lead weekly team reviews, coaching sessions, and 1:1s to ensure individual and team success
  • Cultivate a culture of excellence, resilience, and execution

Systems & Process Ownership

  • Partner with Revenue Operations to ensure CRM, data enrichment tools, and sales engagement platforms (Hubspot, Clay, SalesNav, Gong) are optimized for BDR workflows
  • Implement rigorous data hygiene, activity tracking, and conversion metrics across the funnel
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration with GTM stakeholders to continually optimize messaging, ICP targeting, and feedback loops

Execution & Iteration

  • Lead by example—roll up your sleeves to help test new tactics, troubleshoot prospecting challenges, and model best-in-class outreach
  • Continuously experiment with new outbound strategies, channels, and technologies to improve connect and conversion rates
  • Translate insight from the field into scalable improvements across people, process, and programs

What We Expect From You:

  • 5-8+ years in B2B SaaS sales, with at least 4+ years in BDR/SDR leadership roles
  • Proven success building and scaling inside sales teams within fast-growing SaaS or AI environments
  • Hands-on experience with outbound tooling: Hubspot (we are a Hubspot shop), Clay, SalesNav, Gong, SFDC and sequencing platforms
  • Strong coaching muscle—able to lead with empathy while driving high accountability
  • Excellent communicator and motivator, with a passion for developing early-career talent into world-class sellers
  • Analytical mindset with experience managing pipeline metrics, funnel conversion, and rep productivity
  • Hybrid work model with access to SF required.

What You’ll Get In Return:

  • Remote working arrangements
  • Competitive Base Salary
  • Generous paid vacation
  • Attractive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision options that are applicable per country of residence for all our full-time employees
  • Training opportunities provided by Crescendo and outside entities
  • 1-on-1 coaching with feedback sessions, mentorship, and opportunities for cross-functional development

Why Crescendo?

  • We’re creating a new category: Augmented AI.
  • Our growth has been explosive—0 to $100M+ in ARR in under a year—and we’re just getting started.
  • Our model is built on outcomes, not buzzwords. That means we only win when our customers do.
  • You’ll join a high-performing, customer-obsessed team that values speed, creativity, and craft.
  • We’re remote-first, people-first, and purpose-driven.

Join us and help shape the future of customer experience.
